CATALYSTS & HARDENER
Tert-Butyl Peroxybenzoate (TBPB) is an efficient catalyst used as a hardener in the polymerization of various resins. As a catalyst, it promotes rapid curing at elevated temperatures, enhancing the mechanical strength and thermal stability of the finished products. TBPB is particularly effective in the production of thermosetting plastics, ensuring a robust and durable end result.
Application - For Pultrusion, DMC & SMC Applications (IPROX & AkzoNobel)
BP Paste
BP Paste, containing benzoyl peroxide, serves as a reliable catalyst and hardener in the curing process of unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins. It initiates the polymerization process, leading to a consistent and thorough cure. BP Paste is widely used in the fabrication of composite materials, providing a smooth and defect-free finish with excellent mechanical properties.
Applications: Putty & Capsule Grade, DMC.
MEKP
Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide (MEKP) is a versatile catalyst and hardener commonly used in the curing of polyester and vinyl ester resins. It accelerates the cross-linking process, ensuring a fast and efficient cure. MEKP is essential in the production of fiberglass-reinforced products, offering high performance and reliability in various industrial applications.
Applications: For hand layup applications (IPROX IM 500 & AkzoNobel M50).
MEKP CHP
Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide Cumyl Hydroperoxide (MEKP CHP) is a hybrid catalyst and hardener that combines the properties of MEKP and Cumyl Hydroperoxide. This blend provides a balanced curing process with controlled exotherm, making it ideal for thicker and larger laminates. MEKP CHP is used in applications where precise control over the curing process is critical to achieve optimal mechanical strength and durability.
Product: MEKP CHP - IC-803.
